Plans are well under way in planning for our big 10th Year Celebrations. At this stage it is looking like the 18th October 2008 is the date with Presentation being held at Paddy Clifton on the Sunday.

If everyone could advise either Kim or Debbie of potential numbers so we can start arranging numbers etc. Confirmation and further details will be forthcoming.

We have 25 tickets to the audience of the Swans Club Footy Show on Tuesday 22nd July. There is no cost. Transport will be by coach to Sydney. Depart approx 4pm and arrive back at pick up point around 9:30pm. We are allocating 8  x U10, 8 x U12 and 9 x U14. There will be 5 club parents accompanying the kids. Where there are more kids than positions we will conduct a draw.

Club photos will be held on Saturday 21st June. Times to be advised but it will be at least 45min earlier than normal. We are trying to get U16 on a Friday night.

Get in early for our annual trip to see the 2008 AFL Premiers take on the Sydney Swans at ANZ Stadium (Olympic Park) on the 5th July 2008

Seats are limited and the night is normally enjoyed by all, even Swans supporters. Trivia Quiz and prizes on the way down, plus great viewing seats.

For kids who have not got mouthguards yet the Niagara Park club is offering POWRGARD mouthguards. There are 2 types;

UNIVERS - general protection for upper teeth, 5yrs and over, low level contact sports. $14

STEALTH - max protection for upper teeth and jaw, 11yrs & over, medium to high contact sports. $20

They are both the type you soak in boiling water for 45 sec and then mould to your mouth.

Steve Head has 6 of each type in stock and will take further orders on Wed 4th April at training for anyone who is interested.

The club earns money from each purchase.

What do you do with footy boots that are too small?

Apart from giving them to your little brother or sister (obvious), why not give them to the club to recycle for other players ?

This would simply be a big box of second hand boots , that are donated rather than thrown out. If they are in useable condition you drop them off to the committee (after you clean them) and any person seeking boots has a look through the box and voila - they have some boots that fit and everyone is happy.
